I went garage saling with my grandpa yesterday and found an Oreck 2700 for $1 and a Sanitaire for $5. The lady said that she kept the Oreck in a closet in her basement and a squirrel chewed up the cord, so it doesn't run. I took the motor out and put it in a mint condition 2600 I have so that worked out good. The Sanitaire just needed a new bag and belt. I'll be cleaning it up really good pretty soon. I saw a Kirby Sentria for $200, and the lady said she really wanted to get rid of it because she was moving. I said if it was gone by the end of her sale on Saturday (Today), then I would give her $80, and she agreed. Well I went back today and it was still there, so I got it for $80! It has everything except the wall/floor dusting brush. It just needed polished and cleaned. This takes the F Style bags, so I need to get some of those. Then we were driving downtown and I saw a familiar handle in the garbage, and I made my dad stop. It was an Electrolux Silverado! It has the power nozzle, newer hose, power nozzle wand, two non-electric wands, and the flip floor brush. Unfortunately it needs new motor brushes. I'll probably get it fixed up since it is in such nice shape. My grandparents also found me a nice Dirt Devil Powerlite at a yard sale that they got for me for $5. It just needs a belt.

I'll get a better picture of the Kirby when I'm done cleaning and polishing it since it is all taken apart right now.

Chase, the vacuums gods always smile upon you! I love the bag and chrome hood on that sanitaire.... I love that dirt devil as well.... someone on CL here was selling one for 20 bucks, but I didn't know how available bags and belts were so I passed. I have the same Oreck as in your picture...

And I thought my 60 dollar Sentria was a good deal.... I didn't get ANY attachments with it.... I'd have gladly paid another 20 to get the attachments.

Congrats!

Lucky Finds!

I got my Sentria for $50 on Craigslist, the lady said it was broken (I dont think she ever changed the bag, it was packed full! the fill tube was full, and the fan case was caked in mud. The brush roll was filled with thread and hair, and the belt was in pieces. Poor thing!)
I did get all the attachments with it, (which were basically never used) and the shampooer too.

Now if I could just be lucky enough to find an Electrolux! That would really make my day.

Here is...

The Sentria. It cleaned up really nicely! My dremel tool is charging so I can do a few last minute touches on the metal. It runs amazingly good! My other one is definitely messed up because this one sounds very nice.

I wish I could find a Sentria for $80 then I would sell my G5 for $150 and have money left over for more Kirbys! LMAO
