I picked up this never used Kirby classic 3 hose but it has the end on it that does not connect directly to the front of the vacuum. I can't remember what it attaches to. Anyone know? Thanks in advance!

Samuel

A 500 series hose.  It connects to an aluminum suction coupler.  My best picture of one is with my 561.  Hopefully you can see it in this picture.

That isn't for a Classic III

That hose is for the 516-561 Kirbys.  Those machines had separate adapters to attach the hose on the suction inlet or when connecting to the outlet for blowing.

Sweet! Thanks for the info! Thats good for me because I have a 560 that needs a hose. I will just have to get the coupler.

Hmm good to know. I got a chance to rummage in the back room of a thrift store and got a couple hoses- I just picked ones with typical Kirby motor attachment, but wonder now if they had some older ones now. Oh well, doesn't matter since I don't have any old Kirbys anyways.
