Looks like a mix-up to me.
I'm sure factory techs would know the difference.

Fred...

That is a beautiful model G. It looks pristine! Which PN is that? It looks like a chrome cover.

That's a PN4. It would have come with the Super J. The G is factory rebuilt. Actually found in the box in San Francisco and bought on Ebay. Here it is in the box in the trunk of the Volvo. It was like a time capsule. The hose is a current model and still available.

Thanks so very much to Fred, I also have that very same model G!! It is a prized treasure and works like the day it left the factory!!! They truly are beautiful machines and as I have often said, this is truly Electrolux at it finest!! Terry

Hey Fred...

Amazing! Very nice. Charlie and I were discussing how amazing it is to still find so many vintage vacuums in mint condition. I'm also in shock at the NIB 1964 Maytag I saw on Automaticwasher.org. I can't recall who it belongs though. Too many pictures, too little time.

I have the same model "G" as well - and thanks to Fred for finding it on ebay and alerting me.

Mike.

I too, had a rebuilt G from the same seller that sold a lot of those including the ones Fred, Greg and Terry have. In "thinning" out my collection, it went to live with another member.

The are soooo quiet and if you put a newer power nozzle on them, they really do a wonderful job. The improved bristles and brushstrip placement on the newer P/N's make them very effective for almost all types of carpet.

I bet we can find you one!

Meeeeee too!

I was the very happy recipient of Charlie's "thinning out." The Model G is SO fabulous. All of them.

Charlie...

That's one of the reasons I want to spend a day or so in Omaha before and after the convention. As I wrote in another thread on here, I want to check out some of Omaha's thrift stores and estate sales. As you and I were discussing, it seems some of the best finds come from Midwest estate sales. Fred mentioned that you and he would be in Omaha on 9/12 and suggested I try and arrive early as well to check out local thrift shops. I'm already arranging my schedule accordingly.
