An apology...

Sorry they are rather large- this was as small as I could shrink them to !

2 Juniors?

Hi Seamus, thanks for sharing these pics, it's always interesting to see the comparable models to ours here in the states. I'm surprised to see two junior models at the same time and even in the description there didn't seem to be any differences, was there? I just recently acquired our last model I believe, model 1348 in great shape and am amazed on what a great little cleaner it is. Hoover should come back with these, I believe they'd give Oreck a run for their money!

Hey Seamus!

Hate to let the UK side down, but I can't see the mistake! I'm probably looking for something far too complicated...it's driving me mad! Is it something to do with the fact that the Convertible doesn't actually adjust for different carpet piles?

Thanks for sharing! I would love one of those suction polishers. Never had those over here.

I agree with Fred, the suction polisher would sure be neat to play with. Seamus, could you please explain how that machine worked and what it did. Just wondering if it picked up the scrub water??

Erm .....

Jack.....

;)

Suction Polishers.....

Hey Fred

They are insanely rare over here- I dont actually know of a UK collector that has one!!!.

Terry

The suction is purely for dust- these were not designed for scrubbing with water, just polishing.

Ah, got it now (I think!). I won't say yet, so I don't spoil it for anyone else who wants to guess!

Nice to see this online!

I think I know what's up with the so-called 1334E too...

Also, the 417 and 427 aren't going to pick up much dirt the way they're set up in the photo of all the machines together!

Thanks so much for the information Seamus!!

And the answer is.......

Hey guys...

Rick

The 2 Juniors are internally exactly the same- the only difference is the body design.

The mistake is the "1334E" is actually the last version of the 1334A. The green bag (and although you cant notice it on the scan) the upper cable restraint give it away ;).

The 1334E should look like this.....

Post# 13816 , Reply# 21   5/15/2007 at 02:23 (6,188 days old) by seamusuk (Dover Kent UK)
And what made it "cheap"

The longer cable protector....

And

No upper cable support- makes it a pain to use unless you hook the cable over the upper hook:)

Rating plate

This is a pretty late example- Feb 1968. This was one of the 1st models to use the "dateable" serial number system
