Why is there 3 model designations for this machine despite no changes in the machine?

They were special editions, no real change, but had something to do with the company's anniversary or something...

Kirby did the same thing with the G4. There were the regular G4s, then there was the 80th Ann. Edition. There was also the Heritage II and Heritage II Legend. It is just marketing. Makes people think that there may have been 'improvements' made over the last model.
