Hi all!

Well, I took off the belt lifter to my Classic 3 because I had ordered a brand new one! However...being stupid, paid no attention to how it was harnessed to the nozzle.

Any idea how im supposed to snap this thing back on, I just cant seem to get the clips in the proper place.

You have a "sandwich going on there. From what I can see On my classic III head looks like the easiest way is to put the "sandwich" together is in the "belt off" position. then you should be able to slide the clip over the bushing and tie everything together. As you will have access from the bottom. Could possibly done with the lifter in the "belt on" position but would be rough going in thru the throat. plus you would be in your own light to be able to see what you are doing.

Maybe dry fit it together off the head so you have some idea how it should feel going together and see where everything needs to be placed. as It will be a tight space to get into.

Some very long needle nose pliers should help and resting the belt lifer itself on a padded bench to help keep the belt lifter in place while positoning the nylon spacer and hook on the inside and then to put the clip on.

Hey thanks!

I ended up figuring out what I was doing wrong. I did get it on, but it was just too loose. I had to play with the wavy looking "spring like" piece that puts pressure on the lifter to stay snug on the nozzle.

Thank you!

Good Job.

Looking at it it could be a bear. After the 4th attempt I would break out the duct tape and a marker. Cover up the hole, write KIRBY on the tape
and walk away L.O.L.
