From the House of John Lucia (aka portable), I present to you, this 1987 Royal brochure! Date on back is June 1986.

Since these were sent by him as PDF files, I used Zamzar to convert them to JPEG files.

Here is the front cover. It is a recycled photo of the 1980 line-up which features as uprights models 153, 602, 801, 880, 611 and 608; the canister 231 and Pony 401 (the latter seen with the 597 power nozzle); and the Prince 501. Note that the 611's bag has the same sky blue color as the bags for models 153, 602 and 880.

Also shown on the front cover is a testimonial by Ben Witsell, an employee of the MGM Grand Hotel at the time this brochure was printed. His company used Royal vacuums since 1973, the year that the MGM Grand Hotel first opened for business.

~Ben

That's awesome.
My grandmother had a little "Dirt Devil" hand vac and it came with a similar brochure; I remember it had a big B&W photo of the whole Royal lineup, and one of them was a big commercial unit that looked like a shop-vac. Got any info on that beast?
