There is also a Fantom Vacuum on the St. George, UT Craigslist for $25. Is $5 too much to pay for the Guardsman? What year did the Guardsman first come out and what year did Hoover start making Hoover Guardsman Commercial Vacuums?

Yeah, this person has no idea how much they cost new. When I saw that it was $5, I was shocked! I'll try and buy it, but I don't know how much shipping would be from UT. I'm guessing about $5?

Shipping will cost a lot more than 5 bucks, more like $25 for something of that weight and size.  The best thing to do is contact the seller and find out.

$5 is a great price for a Guardsman, and even more so considering it's the current model. You could easily make money off of this if you wanted to. Tell the seller to ship with the post office. From my experience, it is much cheaper with them than UPS. The last Convertible I shipped(the model the Guardsman is based on) cost $23 with the post office. Then there's the packing supplies but that shouldn't be too much.

Yeah, I will contact the seller and hopefully I can find out more about the Guardsmen.
