wow that is an odd one, almost looks like a hoover with that bag and who knows that little red circle could be a hoover logo, who knows?

It's a Eureka alright - the circle is a Dial-A-Nap adjuster knob. The bag does not look original though...... :-)

It is a Eureka, NOT a Hoover

That sure has aroused my curiosity!  I wish the picture was a bit larger so I could see better.  I see a cloth shake-out bag and what looks like it could be a square handle.  I'm going to make a guess and say possibly a Montgomery Ward from the early 50's.  At one time they had a round emblem with an M over W in it.  I remember a similar MW badged Eureka in a dark green color but have never seen the dark maroon color on that style vacuum.   I hope you post pictures of it as soon as you get it.  I'm anxious to find out what it is!

dialanap adjuster dial

It certainly could be that, and possibly it was outfitted with a different bag to serve in a light commercial duty, in which case it could be badged under several different names.  But that handle sure does look square to me!

Its not a dial a nap. Just an old eureka or wards.

bag definitely looks original alright. It might say supreme on it like my wards machine. Same material and design just two toned.

:)

That's a beautiful specimen, Brandon.   Does it still have the little hook for attaching the belt clipped underneath?
