How do these work?
And why are we seeing them now on so many carpet nozzles and floor brushes?
Is this what I have on my new Electrolux UltraSilencer Green's "Dust Magnet" combination carpet nozzle/floor brush?
Do they really help the removal of elecrostatic dust?
Do they work best on a revolving brush roll, or better as part of a stationery bristle strip on a floor brush or carpet nozzle?
Is this just another marketing scam?

I'd say the last one, it's just marketing making something completely benign seem uber-efficient, like selling petrol that claims to boost performance and reliability on engines that haven't been modified to run on it...

It's a brush, it sweeps (doesn't beat as it cleans though), that's it... :\
