There is an ad on Craigslist near me with two of these for free. It's probably an older 90's Kenmore, since they told me they are bagged and uprights. Does anyone know what they are though? And can you post a picturee of one if possible?
Thanks!
Chase

Might look similar to these. The two on the left are straight Progressives; the one on the right is a Progressive 400. The 300 probably falls in between somewhere with a couple of extras that the basic models don't have. There are different model numbers assigned to these and there are a bunch of them depending on differences. Sometimes, it's only something like shade difference in the grey plastic back.

I'm rather fond of this design. For a plasti-vac, they're fairly well-made. Not all plastic is the same. These are made by Panasonic and the plastic is an ABS formula. Some plasti-vacs made in China (taking Eureka as an example), you can look at the plastic and it just looks cheaper than ABS. Who knows what the formula used may be? Whatever the Chinese manufacturers can get cheapest from week to week, perhaps.

These are easy to work on and just about all the parts are still available. They are fairly quiet.

These came in different colors, but blue seems to be the most common. I also have the bagless version of this but it isn't called a Progressive; it's the Easy Clean.

The Progressive 400 in the picture has the electronic "dirt finder" feature. How did we ever find dirt to vacuum up before this came along??!

If you can get two of these for free, you should take them.
