I bought a Hoover Constellation about a year ago from a local thrift. It did not come with the attachments or the wand or the turbo floor nozzle. It was $30 and a beautiful looking machine -- so I bought it anyway. I've tried putting various sized attachments into the end of the hose with ZERO success. It has been quite frustrating because I can just use the hose like some kind of Elephant or Aardvark. :)

Today I noticed something I hadn't seen before while looking at the manual -- the end of the hose is also missing another piece -- it's called the "handle with suction regulator." The end of THAT piece looks much more attachment friendly.

From what I can tell, that piece is not sold separately from the hose. Ugh! I don't really want to buy a whole other hose just for that piece. Does anyone know how I could go about getting that part?

That's funny, Bill. I found my white Newconnie at a thrift store the same way - no hose handle.
Okay, funny not so much.

One more reported incident of the handle falling off & going missing and we have a manufacturer's defect! Too bad Hoover is history or that piece would be easy to come by. You're right, replacing the entire hose for want of a handle seems excessive.

After trying to finorkle a cheap plastic handle from several Chinese Podvacs I stumbled upon this aluminum Hoover bent wand in the parts bin. Don't know what Hoover it is from - perhaps a Portable Cleaning Center. But I made it fit and of course, it mates up with the Newconnie wands and accessories.
Since you didn't get any of the tools I'd try to go with something more generic and standard so most Non-Hoover accessories can be used.

I think you will have to be inventive. And, we don't need no friggin' suction regulator anyway. :-)
