I got a copy of the VHS tonight from Brandon and I uploaded it in mp4 format for you guys to see. It is 13 minutes long. You might have to download and save it to view, not sure how reliable Google Docs is yet.

Thanks for providing the video. Besides enjoying the demo, I thought the 80's decor, clothes and hair styles were a hoot! |

I love how she saws on everything with what might as well be called a steak knife. LOL I really have to say that Kirby has much improved and organized content of their instructional videos and dvd's since this first VHS came out. I was sad when it was over at 13 minutes, but it's a really neat video to have.
Thank you Brandon T for helping me get the copy of it! :) I might try and actually record it from VCR to PC vs through a camera, but the quality of the video due to age and duplication is not the best so I figured it wouldn't matter too much. If anyone has the G3 owner's manual VHS and would want to mail it to me, I can record it into mp4 format for us all to share. Same with the other G4, G5, G6 series. Just send me an email. Andrew |

I was also unaware that the G3 had a video manual. I thought that wasn't created till the G4 in the Generation lineup. |

Hello all.
Andrew, Thank you for taking the time, & posting the HD video. That was a treat, as I haven't seen it in, probably 20 years. :-) Brandon & Andrew, The attachment Kaddy was cardboard initially on the Heritage II. The Turbo Brush was also initially available as it was with the Heritage, however it was black. I've included a couple pics to follow. These have not been cleaned up in any way, as of yet. Bud, James & Brandon, There was a video user's manual for the Generation 3. Cheers & hagd all, Bill |

It was much appreciated!
Bill, thanks for answering a question I had about the Turbo Brush for the Heritage II. I thought for SURE my black Turbo Brush would have gone with a Heritage II! Now, question is this....when was the Turbo brush officially discontinued & replaced with the Zippbrush? Also, I have the opportunity to buy a early Heritage II....with the new Heritage II powerhead, but strange enough, it doesn't have the Brushroll Light; so was this introduced mid-year 1985 then?? Thanks in advance for your answers, Bill.... Rob |

James,
The Generation 3's included the video in with the basic attachments, in the Kirby Kaddy. I do realize they do not seem to be around much. I surmise that it is much like the HII video, in that probably most of them have gone the way of the trash. I'm sure I have pictures of one somewhere in my old literature. I presently do not have either the HII or G3 videos for my collection. I am on the lookout for them as well. Rob, I believe both the Zipp Brush & Split Second hand vac were introduced in 1985. The trimline nozzle also debuted in 1985; however, the BPI was not added 'til early 1986. And further enhancements included the molded cuffs for the hose, which I believe started in 1987. There were some 'hybrid' hoses early on though. I hope this info helps clarify things. Cheers & hagd/n all, Bill Ps: James, If you shoot me an email with your telephone number & best time to call, I would love to talke Kirbys with you. I always enjoy your posts, articles & collection. |

Well thanks for the wonderful heritage II pictures! I never had all my parts and machines together at once, so I could never take a picture of my Complete heritage II with split second and holder. |

Hello James.
I am well, ty. :-) I received your email, & will reply either tonight or tomorrow (hopefully). Benn a little crazy here, which is a good thing. :-) I knew the G3 video was mentioned in Kirby literature; however, I couldn't recall where. I have included a 'snapshot' of one place it is/was (below). It is/was on the Owner Care Program brochures. I know there are more places, however I do not recall them at present. I L@@K forward to talking with you, James. I admire the restorations you've done with your Kirbys, (as well as the 'other' ones too!!! ~~lol~~) Cheers & hagn/d, Bill |
