Hey guys.... I have a friend who just bought a Kenmore Progressive canister on C/L (a white RECENT model, telescopic wand, switches in hand grip) and the power nozzle will not turn on.... the suction part will, but the power nozzle won't. We hooked it up to a similar vacuum and the power nozzle worked, so we have pretty much identified that the problem is in the hose.... is this something we can fix or does the hose have to be replaced.... is this a common problem with these? Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :O)

Could be a loose wire in the hose cuff at the machine end, or a bad contact in the handle switch, or yes a break somewhere in the hose =( in wich case you will need a replacment hose.

hey there....

Thanks... I went over tonight and we took the hand grip apart and one of the wires was a little loose.... a yellow one.... I pushed it back in tighter and it works like brand new.... I'm so jealous... that's a vacuum I've wanted for a while now and in the color I want too.... oh well, I'm glad we got it working and surprised that it was so easy.

Thanks for responding :o)
