Good vacuum! But what's this collar around your neck? (Anybody know what this little thing is for? It's like big plastic tie twist!)

Except ... most of your bags are for other models! We do have a few Kenmore canister bags here ... oh dear, are these going to be difficult to come by?

It's all brand new inside ... and new filter pads, too!

You sound so nice when you're running, when I turn you off there's a LOUD WHIRRING SOUND, like a jet landing ... what does this mean? Do you need oil? Servicing? Or is this "normal"?

hoop on hose/

This is to hang the hose on a nail or hook!...That is a Singer built machine, you can probably get bags pretty easily.

That's a super cute machine! Never seen one badged as a Sears -- I have seen Singer. But I don't recall them being plastic. Love that you're vacuuming in your pumps, too! :-)

Wow! That is such a neat find! And like Fred says above, I have never seen a Singer-made Kenmore before! Hold onto that, that might be extremely rare.

I bought one of those in the '70s, think I paid $30-$40.00 for it, wanted it for attachments as I had a Kirby Classic, and didn't care for the attachment conversion on it, so wanted something cheap/easy to clean the bare floors and above floor cleaning. I swear mine had a different style hose/attachments, don't think it had the crushproof type hose and had a metal end where it attached to the wands, more like the Singer version. It wasn't a bad vacuum for the price.

Thanks for the info everybody! I probably won't hang the hose on a hook because I like to keep it in the box. But it's fun to play with because it reminds me of the Jetsons automatic robot vacuum!

Should I ask for Singer bags when I stop into the vacuum shop? It doesn't say anything about a bag size and none of the bags it came with fit in it, but I was able to cut one into shape.
