Anyone out there by any chance have a spare Hoover 918 bag? Or, for that matter, a bag for any of the big commercial "91" series machines? It doesn't have to be an exact 918 bag, as long as it's that big, fat bag that those machines had.

I've had a 918 for a long time that looks nice cosmetically but the motor is completely shot and the bag, while original, is dry-rotted.

I just found a "donor 918" that's not in such good shape appearance-wise but has a good motor. I'm going to make a good machine out of the two.

To do the job properly, I need to find a genuine hoover bag for it. The one I just got has a bojack bag on it and it's not big enough. That massive, manly machine just looks retarded without the proper bag!

I'll of course be glad to pay for the bag and the postage.

Thanks.......

Here's a photo of my 918. It's in nicer condition (other than the motor) than it looks -- what appears to be scuffs etc. is just dirt. It was filthy when I found it. When I clean it up it's going to look really beautiful.

The bag is not as nice as it looks -- it's very dry-rotted. When I was running the machine long enough to take the series of photos that this photo came from, the whole bottom of the bag around the metal collar blew out.

charles,

would you happen to have an original hoover 700 bag?

Well, I do have a 700 bag, but it's on the machine it came with. :)

@KirbyDS80 no sorry, I do not. I've only ever had one DS80 and that was for a very short time. I gave it away during one of my "Great American Garage Clean-Ups." But I'll keep my eyes out for one and if one falls into my lap I'll be happy to send it to you.

Thank you Charles Richard Lester the great :). I know exactlly who you are as i've seen your Youtube videos and have visited your Website. You know a bunch about the 500 series Kirbys which is pretty interesting. :). Would be a pleasure to meet you sometime.
