I found this new in box online for $40 and had to get it since it goes with my Sentria. Very nice and good build quality for the money. Have not used it much yet since the battery takes 16 hours to charge, for 8-10 minutes of use. It does have a 2 year warranty from Kirby though. Overall, a nice helper for kitchen counter crumbs, grass that gets tracked in, a quick once over for carpeted stairs, and bathroom counter cleaning. (Facial hair trimming always makes a mess!) I can also use it to clean out the car quick and keep it semi-clean w/o having to drag out the big cleaners.

Unboxing photos below.

Cool, I have the 12v car version (the Split Second II), limits it's use to being attached to a 12v source (car, battery, random battery back made up of a load of AA cells), but it's a decent little hand vac for what it is... :)

Only issue I have with mine is it's motor sounds a bit "loose", so probably had bad bearings or something... :(

Don't think I've used it since I made this video:

Motor Noise

David,

Mine sounds the same way - it's probably just the way the motor is mounted inside the unit, but could be the motor itself. I may take mine apart and investigate. Could be a simple fix such as a piece of foam padding needing to be put around where the motor and housing meet.

Will follow up with what I find.

I'm also going to try and get a 12 volt version so I have both to go along with my "Sentria Shrine" LOL
