Hi All,
I was reading the other day that the Hoover Tempo is the same thing as the Windtunnel, only the Tempo is bagged. What are your thoughts? I have a Tempo, and was thinking of picking up a good second hand Windtunnel the next time I find one. But why do that if they are pretty much the same machine? |

There are various fancier versions of the WindTunnel, both bagless and bagged, including Consumer Reports' top-rated Self Propelled WindTunnel - you would have to see the vac itself to know if you are getting something similar. I would not go by the name so much as what is "under the hood." If the powerhead does not have a separate segregated suction channel above the brush roll, it ain't a true WindTunnel. If it does have this but the name on the vac says something else (like Tempo or Anniversary edition or Turbopower), then it gives you the same improved scatter-free carpet cleaning as those labelled with the word WindTunnel.
