I recently ordered replacement bearings for my Kirby Heritage II that need replaced, and wanted to share some information about the replacements.
The bearings Kirby now uses are made by PEER, and are assembled in China from what I can tell. I do see they are pretty high quality, regardless of where they were assembled. The larger front bearing PEER Part # 6200RLD The smaller rear bearing PEER Part # 608Z Attached is a link to the PEER catalog, and here is the link to their roller bearing specifications. www.peerbearing.com/p_bb.asp... Here was another brochure I found that I thought was very interesting. It provides some of the company history, and some photos of manufacturing and testing of the bearings.
