Been lazy, just getting around to posting these now...

Convertible 704 and Box. Spotted the box under a table, full of books. I emptied it and took it pretty quickly. Cleaner looks kinda rough, but I think it's going to clean up nicely.

Fred, Great finds for sure! I bought that Sears canister in I believe 1975 or 76. An excellent vacuum, really long hose and easy to use. My sister in law still has the machine. You can still buy bags for it at Sears.

The Hoovers were so thoughtful. They were actually waiting for me on the porch as I walked up to the sale. $2 each.

You done good boy! Not bad for that little bit of money. I've never seen the 704 before. That should be a fun clean-up. You're going to have a basement full of projects if you keep going to estate sales. We want all that done by the convention...time's a-wastin'!

You sure have a nack for finding things! I think the 704 will clean up nicely, and I am sooo drooling over that Kenmore. Its not rare for the PN to be missing but to have the FULL attachment tray thats awsome. Congrats
Kenny

I mainly bought the Kenmore for the 10' hose that came with it... although I didn't notice the tape on the end of it until I got it home :-(. There's a crack in the main body of the machine (to the right of where the hose goes into the cleaner -- right about behind the purple pricetag in the picture above), I have to investigate further, but if it goes all the way through to the bag cavity, the cleaner is probably gonna be trash. I'll be sure to save the attachment caddy...

Not trash Fred lol. Even with the crack, Im sure suction wont leak much. Some careful Gorilla glue or simalar will fix that. Also the hose is quite repairable with some carful working of a small flat screwdriver. =)

Nice finds! I feel so sorry for that poor convertible, though... :P
