Thank God another one of these timeless machines saved. Chad bought it from an old vac shop basement and traded it to Jason, Jason traded it to me and it will stay with me. The poor thing has already been passed around like a snotty Kleenex at a funeral. I really didn't think there was any hope for it but the thing just fell apart like butter, like it was begging to be fixed. The Rugmaster is just a shell that I already had ( was givin to me from the vacuum museum of Tacony for parts )but it does make for a good display part. If anyone has a spare hose or any parts for the Rugmaster ( motor, brushroll, or well everything else let me know).
The date inside the motor looks like July 1980

That's very cool! I never knew Airway made a power nozzle. The RUGMASTER looks like it would be a beast too!

Thank you for saving another Sanitizor. I have a 55A which I love dearly, and they kept up the quality until the end. I am still bitter that we lost them only a few years ago. I see the name still exists, but I doubt we will ever see another real Sanitizor machine on the market.
I even sent the current owners of the trademark a pleading email to consider bringing back our beloved Sanitizor canister. The tooling must still exist somewhere?

Cheers,
Doug E.

Beastly Rugmaster

Yeah, that Rugmaster does look like a hefty piece of equipment. Can't say I am at all familiar with them. Do they work as robustly as they look?

Regards.
Doug

Air Way PN...

Royal also used this PN for a while, it is exceptionally good, in both quality and performance!! One of the best ever in my opinion!

Rugmaster...

related to the Big Foot power nozzle or just similar in looks? I know the Big Foot is still available and has been used on central vacs, Orecks, etc.

Nice find there, Philip! I have always wanted to try out an Air-Way, as I have heard so many good things about them! It's too bad they weren't that popular in Canada.

I love them, Tania, Fred and Charlie got me intrested in them. I love the rugmaster, sure there are better power nozzles like a good old eureka power nozzle, but they are fun to use.
