Heres a question: I know theres two different versions of the G4, but whats the difference?

One of them is an 80th anniversary edition. f 1994 I think. I think it says 80th somewhere toward the bottom of the handle if I remember correctly. Thats the only difference I can think of.

Micron Magic

Later G4's have "Micron Magic" printed on the bag clip. Was the filtration really that much better, or was it a marketing gimmick?

The filtration difference was the paper bags, if I'm not mistaken.

The Micron Magic bags have a micro liner and vastly improve filtration over the Heritage/G3 bags.

It says 80th Anniversary Edition at the top of the handle, not the bottom. Also, when the 80th Anniversary Edition came out in 1994, thats when they started putting the "Micron Magic" on the bag topper.

My G4 says "micron magic" at the top of the bag- but no "80th anniversary"
