I finally got the brown Emtor tray in today, so I'd like opinions regarding which looks best: Style 1 as originally posted; or Style 2 with the brown tray and wheels. Thanks!

STYLE 1

I found a source for aftermarket Emtor trays. If you'd like to know where I found them, just let me know. They were cheap too. Even though they are not original Kirby, I was glad to find these gray ones.

Definitely the all dark brown....

Style 2 for sure, style one makes it look like it's made up from mismatched parts, but style 2 looks like it's factory and a professional job... :)

I vote for Style 2 for sure...matching is a good thing.

This is the link for the gray Emtor trays. They have a variety of colors too. I've had the bag for several months and I don't remember where I got it.

The Bag

I've had several people ask me where I got the bag. I remember now! I got it several months ago from this Ebay seller. I thought I was getting the bag in the seller's photo. But the bag they sent is the one I have on the vacuum. You might send the seller a message and ask if he/she has the plaid bag.

Well, the consensus is STYLE 2! Rick Asquith came up with the name "Classic Jr." -- That's a great name! Kirby, are you listening? Anyway, I like it so much that I'll probably use it as a daily vacuum. After all, I gave it the full makeover, including bearings and carbon brushes, 4 row brush roll, and plastic fan. I also went ahead and put a new foot switch and safety switch on it, so it should be good to go for another 30 years at least!
