I was in the Goodwill today and they had a Kirby Classic Omega for 15 bucks. Looked to be in reasonably decent--not pristine, certainly--shape. I'm not into Kirbys so I passed.

I did pick up a vintage GE Toast-R-Oven with the hangtag still on the cord for six bucks.

Or forever hang your head in shame. If you don't you risk people whispering behind your back, pointing you out from across the room and giggling or worse, tut-tutting.

You could always buy it

and then list it on eBay... A Classic in good condition with the attachments could easily fetch $100-150...

Don't feel bad, Veg

Those old Kirbys are a B*tch to push. They do clean good, but talk about a workout.

There is always the ebay factor though-Someone will want it:)

BTW is it another "flair-esque" GE Toast-R-Oven ? I've scarfed a few more of those up but Ebay prices on them have flattened if not dropped so I'll hang on to them for a GE dry spell hahahaha

Pete, people "whispering behind your back, pointing you out from across the room and giggling or worse, tut-tutting" do that all the time; I'm used to it!

Yep, it's another "Flair-esque" TRO. First issue with the Start bar next to the Open bar. The one I've been using has tempermental upper elements, so for 6 bucks I thought it was worth the chance that this one would be better.

It's really a shame how the market for these babies has flattened out. I think I'll do like you and put it away for a "dry spell."
