The trendy Electrolux Ergospace canister vac I got in September for $200 at Costco is now $40 off at same store. So, $160 for what I consider to be an above average vacuum cleaner, with a nod to the environment (it uses a lot of recycled plastic, isn't an energy hog, and works very well on hard flooring).
I posted my initial impression of this vacuum back in September. I continue to like it and use it for nearly all my in-home vacuuming. At $160, this seems like a very good buy. The only hitch might be availability of bags and filters, but I was able to find plenty at a good price on-line.
