This was my dream machine as a kid. My Mum and Nanny both bought Ambassador III's when I was young, my Mum said the machine costed about 800 bucks in 1991. But my uncle purchased a Diplomat LX instead. I always wanted the TOL machine, and all the features, greedy child I was much? I found this machine on eBay, from a guy in Canada. So shipping would be cheap.

This machine, next to my AP280, is my daily driver. This is the first machine in my collection which is a complete set. Even a Sidekick! Which I ALWAYS wanted as a child, next to the small crevice tool which would fit on the back of the machine with the combo dusting/fabric brush.

The only problem with this machine is the rear bearing in the motor. Doug, Collector2, gave me the exact model number for the bearing I need. In the new year I will probably replace that, or the whole motor.

Here is what I always wanted as a child, a "tool caddy" that is stocked up! I think the crevice tool, which I purchased separately on eBay, came form a Silverado since its a darker grey. I cleaned this machine up after it came in. I think the previous owner had a pet cause the PN was full of cat hair.

My Silverado crevice tool is like a foot long, no idea where to put it on the machine, so I don't. Love the reach under appliances with it though.

I also have the foot-long crevice tool too. I think the mini-one was an 'optional extra'?

It's pretty- makes me wish my Ambassador still had it's original woven hose.
