That is a very nice Sanitaire! There is another vacuum in the picture that is hard to find, an Amway Clear Trak bagless upright. There was a Sears Kenmore model called the Destiny as well. I remember when that machine was rated by Consumer Reports in February 1993 and rated pretty well. It was very good at deep cleaning carpet and had good suction. I've heard that it is a very good vacuum. Nice machines!

that is one beautiful sanitaire you have there, and by spotting the amway in the back I always wondered how they were in performance. as for the sears Destiny here is mine. these are the same machine as the fantom thunder however they are rebaged. excellent machine in quality and good in performance.

Amways are made very well, but they do not create a lot of airflow. Tool suction is a joke. However, mine sucks up cat litter like nothing I've ever seen. One pass does the trick. It's amazing. However, on regular jobs, even my 300 watt Electro Hygiene 880 runs circles around it.
