Well my Sentria is now 1 year old as I purchased it on 11/29/2010. I just thought I'd share how she's treated at my house. I've seen so many Kirbys (and other brands as well) which are absolutely trashed in no time. I'll have this vacuum for a very long time I think. I plan to buy the 12 foot hose for it soon because that would be so handy for cleaning on the top of the fridge, tops if the cupboards, the car, etc.

I'll admit I've got a touch of OCD, and as you can tell, her bumper has never kissed a wall :-) I use it 3-4 times a week, generally for 45 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on how much I decide to clean.

Andrew

That really looks pristine and hardly used at all!

That poor Ebay machine :(

Re: bumpers. I desperately try, when vacuuming, not to let the power nozzle knock off anything. Doesn't always work, sadly.

I also wipe off my machines almost every time after use, right down to the last detail, unless I'm pressed for time.

Congrats on a well-preserved machine.

I officially certify you an official Neat Freak, Andrew. That machine looks like it has never been used at all.

I don't really get off on Kirbys, but damn that is pretty!

And Andrew, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you also have used this in shampoo mode as well, so yet further use of it while it looks pristine. Chris.

Shampooer

vacfanatic's profile picture
Chris - I have used it several times to shampoo my carpets in between deep cleaning. I also use it frequently to fluff the carpets, and even have the hard floor polisher that I use every couple of months on my hardwood in the kitchen. Even though I try to keep a clean ship, the dog tends to track in stuff especially during winter. The Kirby does a nice job of the "in between" cleaning in my opinion.

:-)

Your Sentria is gorgeous, I bet it looks better now then when it came out of the box. I just waxed a couple of my vacs today speaking of this hahaha. It really is amazing how fast some Sentria's get trashed. it seems the nicer they are the quicker there ruined
