I found a website that has a bunch of cool vacuum commercials on it, it does take some looking to find some of them, but it does have a search option. Interesting to here some of the old slogans.

Wow this brought back a lot of memories from my childhood (aside from vacuums) that are more in line with the vintage time frame. Rosie (Nancy Walker) for Bounty towels (the quicker picker upper), Mr. Whipple for Charmin, K tel records, Menudo !! :P , I could go on but since this isn't in the off topic section, I do recall the Eureka Powerline as well, though never one of my favorite vacs.

Exactly, what a screamer. And some relative of mine had one and I recall that the exhaust would blast hot air right in your face.

Oh, I remember the Powerline, all of our neighbors except one had the Powerline Plus, we had an early Elite 200, and the other neighbor had a commercial Convertible.
All the neighbors with Powerlines replaced them in the late 90's with Orecks, and they now all have Dysons.

Unbelievable!

Am I the only one who notices how far back in the day the early 90's seem? The commercial's tag lines and music seem so "old school."

That was the 90's........NOT the 1890's.....

We were cool by then. Right????? RIGHT??? =o/

thinking about the past is like opening a closet you haven't been in, in well, however long it's been. It's interesting to think back on the 90s in terms of that.

There is a BUNCH of older Hoover commercials, even one for a 1977 Junior Deluxe upright, on YouTube. I found a few Eureka ones too,

Anyone here grow up in the 1970s? My Mama had a Hoover upright back then that I used to love to help with. I'd always help change the bags. This was in the mid 1970s. Too much fun!
