Eureka brush rolls

I remember those hard plastic strips. If you hit a floor register or something else hard, they can get dented and will even retain a sharp edge which then spins and cuts the carpet fibers. The Sanitaire metal rolls were much more effective and carpet friendly.

Amen to that-HATE plastic beater bars-metal is so much better-a nicked, cracked or broken plastic beater bar turns into a carpet DESTRUCTION tool.
