Fred,

Wonderful "G" ya got there. And Charlie, what care you put into the packaging of that machine. I too dislike the peanuts - but really am glad they are there....

My first 1205 had the outlet under the suction inlet, and Toby Glenn currently has one - so I KNOW they existed.

My question. There was a thread perhaps two years ago about an electric hose for (I think) a "G". I was turquoise with white and red tracing. Apparently it was short-lived and was trouble prone, and therefore discontinued and a return to the traditional "cord clipped to the hose" system was made. I am wondering then, if Electrolux had anticipated troubles with future electric hoses, or - felt that people may continue to use the power nozzle they bought for their previous model. You could buy Electrolux units without the power nozzle all the way through at least the Super J. After that I lost track and they may not have offered that option later on - but, it could be possible that folks kept their older PN's and used them on new suction units.

Rick

Optional Power Nozzles

My grandma had a late Model AF that had a PN outlet, but she never bought a PN...and my grandma's house had carpeting in every room except the kitchen.

As far as the early 1205 with a PN outlet requiring a "pigtail" hose, I can honestly say I've never seen one...although I do know that the early 1205 came with a pigtail hose.

I love the look of the PN-1, especially the Aqua ones.

@ Fred...that really is a beautiful tan Model G you have acquired there. I hope it brings you many years of enjoyment!

You Know What We Are Missing Here?

A 1205 brochure with the PN2. Does anyone have one that they could scan and send to me? Charlie, send me those brochures and I will scan them in high resolution (and I promise to send them back to you in the same condition I received them in. I will then do a retrospective of the whole Lux line of the time. Thanks. Oh heck, I'll start a whole new thread on Vintage.

Fred

PS - Here is a shot of my brand new PN2 - somewhat of a missing link.

If you are talking about the hose on the L, that is a genuine Electrolux (now Aerus) hose. Last I checked, you could get them, but they are not cheap. I think I paid $90 but they are good and I can use them with multiple machines that take pigtails. Think of stocking up in case they become NLA. Also check out this site.
