I received this Electrolux PN-1 today in the mail. It is an eBay find, and it is in terrific shape for its age. I hooked it up to my Model L to give it a "test drive", and it works perfectly!

Electrolux PNs are rather noisy, though...in fact, the sound of this drowns out the sound of the vacuum motor.

Here are pics:

Whoops!

I just realized I posted this on the Contemporary Forum. My apologies for not posting it in the Vintage forum!

You posted to the wrong forum. We won't hold that against you. Beautiful power nozzle. One of my favorites. And you are correct, they are noisy. I remember thinking that there was something wrong with my first one, but that's how they work.

Very nice find. Mine is identical to yours except the cord and roller are pale blue (same as the blue G). I believe this is an early example of the Model G PN I, but I'm not sure.

You're right about the noise. When I use the PN I with the G, which is not that often, I keep unplugging it to make sure the canister is still running :)

Thanks

Thanks Rick, that's actually the best price I could find on that hose. I went ahead and ordered one. :-)

Hmmph

Re: Vodhin's Friendly Vacuum Accessories. I sent a picture of the PN III in response to the query on the website, and got, as Genesis would say, "No Reply at All", so I'm not very enthused about Vodhin :)
