I replaced the handle spring a couple of weeks ago and have been using it a few times since. What I can't fiqure out is whether the tech drive should assist when you pull back as well as when you push forward?

Right now it only assists when I push forward. I flipped it on it's back and observed, and indeed, only when pushed.

Have I installed the handle spring incorrectly? I got it from 007kirbyman, so I know it's not the part! Kirby had redesigned the part, so it didn't look like the original, but I thought that I placed the "forked" part correctly over the "nub".

Any ideas, or parts diagrams before I take it apart again?

Guy

I would give Bill a call. Do you have his phone number? I know very little about the G Series myself.

Make sure you have the "fork" placed in between the grooves on the pivot spring. The transmission should work both forwards and backwards.

Hey Guy, if you want to give me a call, I'll be glad to assist you.

If you want to have the cover shell off the Kirby when you call we should be able to get you back in order.

Cheers & hagd all,

Bill
