Our Kirby Generation Five is in need of a new brushroll. I'm wondering what is available and what any of you would suggest. Our wall-to-wall carpeting in the largest area of our home is very lousy, builder's grade plush so we really need something that pulls up the nap. On the other hand, we also have several large room size hand-knotted carpets that are moderately thick, so I don't want anything too aggressive. Any suggestions please???
Thanks, Kenny

Kirby Floor care Kit

Hi Kenny I also have the G5 anoung many other Kirbys. As far as changing the worn floor brush get a replacement at your kirby dealer or I got mine last year from e-bay.I find the carpet fluffer works very well in bring a older rug back to life ( if you have the floor kit attatchment) If you use the fluffer brush do not use teck drive push the Kirby back and foward on its own.Hold the handle as the Kirby really takes off. I hope this helps . Let me no. Take care Doug.

if your talking serious quality or precious rugs, you will want the more gentle option. vacuum plush often enough and it fluffs well.
