I have spent years trying to find this machine. I know, it is not rare in anyway, but I have just had much trouble finding it. It is a 1990's Kenmore upright. My mom's friend had one, and I was in love with it when I was little. I would be outside playing with her daughter and I'd hear her mom vacuum, and I'd sit and look in the window and watch her. She never let me use it for some reason though. But whenever I was over there, I would just sit and look at it. Well, her daughter went camping with us one weekend, and told me her moms vacuum was leaving black marks on the carpet and she was going to throw it away, and I was just overjoyed. So when we drop her off on the way home, I asked her mom, and her son had torn it all apart. So all I ended up with was the motor, handle, hose, cord, belt, and crevice tool. Finally having this machine really makes me happy.
A Bissell Healthy Home was also given to me this past week. It really is not that bad of a vacuum!

I saved a green one of those many years ago from the dumpster, still being used by the receiver of that gift!

Is your green one the cheaper one with the plastic hose? I remember seeing this one, and those ones at Sears when I was little

they are good vacs, the larger hose does not clog often like the newer ones
