LOVE IT!!
Where'd you get it, and what year do you think it is? The salmon decorative bag accent is great. |

That Apex is a very cool machine. I have one too, but in unrestored condition. The handle has a VERY cool feature -- see the little button down just by the handle bale? You push it down and it releases the long handle from the handle bale, so that, due to the angled shape of the "connector arm" that attaches the handle to the handle bail, when you are sweeping you can steer the machine left and right by turning the handle grip back and forth! |

This is from the late 1930s or early 1940s. Not sure exactly.

Just called Stan Kann and asked-- he said this model sold from 1935 to 1940, it cost $39.95. The brush revolves backward (as a Singer R1 and the Premier Grand). He said it's a very quiet two-speed machine. There were two or three variations on this model - one did not have the swivel handle and was only one speed, then there was another with a different headlight "grille" in the front. He said for some reason they did not sell very well.

I tried calling you earlier..to let you hear it run on the maiden vacuuming and there was no answer. I though that was strange as someone is usually always home....

Yeah I heard that also...
Talk about some winter weather fluctuations. I did hear that we were gonna have high temps this weekend, flooding everywhere and causing all rivers and streams to surge to tide proportions.
