The machine also came with the original bag with no rips or tears I was shocked. but the bag was full of really thick and nasty Dirt

Wow, I do like that. What a great price too! Someone remind me, what time period is the Model 28?

Post# 27613-12/21/2007-09:52 ||| electroluxxxx (Greene, NY)

You will never have to buy another vacuum cleaner again. What a fantastic pair of finds! I also remember Badata just got a model 28 himself. Wow!

I have about 40 so I think you are right I won't have to buy another Vacuum again. plus I am using this 28 as my daily driver Next it will be the other one. I hooked my set of attachments up and it does have pretty good suction
hey maybe we should tlk

Maybe that comment about you not having to buy another vacuum cleaner again was a little harsh! LOL! That would defeat the purpose of being in this club! I'm just a little edgy because my big out of town trip yesterday only netted a few tools and no vacs, and today's trip before life shuts down for a week only found two open thrift stores out of five. I'll be in touch. Thanks, enjoy the Hoovers and keep the pics coming!

no it was not harsh actually I was not offended at all a lot of people say that to me because I have so many so I do not mind. there was no need for an apology.

To make you feel better I bought the other one for $10. LOL
do you by any chance have a model 61??

Post# 27626-12/21/2007-15:13 ||| arh1953 (south florida)

No, I don't have any Hoovers that old yet. I'm going to scope out the local market before I try eBay.

Nice Find, Mike!

And the original bag makes it even better! The 28 has always been one of my favorite Hoovers. My Aunt had one when I was little, and the church I attended while growing up had one that I used to run frequently as a teenager. The one from the church, which is now in my collection, was expertly refurbished for me last year by Tom Anderson. Thanks again, Tom!
I know what you mean about the shipping. More than once I've bought a vacuum off ebay and the shipping was more than the item!
Jeff

thanks Jeff
these things never die I mean I checked the motor brushes and they have at least 15 more years left in them but knowing these machines they probably last a lot longer than that

I also am getting a Model 700 I bought it off of ebay for $20 and I am going to make it my winter restoration project. please enjoy the pics as I post them and I love reading your comments.
thank you
Mike
