The Model E
is very lightweight, weighing in at 17 lbs. When you compare that to the backbreaking weight of its predecessor, the Model LX (37 lbs with cord winder, companion & attachments) you can see why they were pleased to boast about their new "lightweight champ." The only Electrolux that weighs less than the Model E is the dainty Model S, which weighs 15 lbs. ![]() |

Just out of curiosity, what does your 1956 Thrift model "T," and model XX weigh? |

Thrift model and XX
The Thrift model weighs the same as the E - the body material, size & thickness are the same as the E - the only thing lacking is the halo.
