I love that picture. Those are some nice canister vacs. What cataloge is that from? Or is it Consumer Reports. I would love to be able to go back in time and buy each one of those. Tim |

They Are From A Catalog
I am not sure which one, but I will check. They came from none other than Tania Voight. I have a couple more pages from the same catalog and will add those to the picture of the day.

Down TV land memory lane
Does anyone remember the early "I Dream of Jeannie" episode where Major Nelson traps Jeannie in that very same blue GE drum canister vac? The actress who would become the 2nd Gladys Kravitz on later "Bewitched" seasons played Major Nelson's cleaning lady who finally uncorks Jeannie. |

Great pictures!! Interesting ,too, that I have not one, but three of the vacs from that picture in my collection--the Hoover 82 Connie, the Golden Lewyt 90, and the Westinghouse. And of those three, two were actually owned by family members--my maaternal Grandmother owned the Connie, and one of my Aunts owned the Westinghouse.

I have 18 now--will be 19 when my Lux 30 arrives, which should be any day now. You can check my profile (Hygiene903) for a detailed list. We've got to get together one of these days. Seems like both of our collections have expanded since we last seen each other. So far, unless something comes up, looks like I've got every weekend open this month.
