I've never seen a DS80 with red/burgundy trim or with this style of belt lifter cap before. Possible vac shop rebuild, perhaps?

I thought they were green........

Got to be a Frankenkirby. The Classic 3 tools add to that.

Take a DS80 motor assembly, change the trim and head, you just might come up with that.

But.....there always is a possibility of a limited run of something or and export version.

I agree with Joe

It's a Frankenkirby! You see them all the time on ebay! If it was a rebuilt it would say on the bottom plate. The owners manual howeer may be for a rebuilt Kirby. I've never seen that particular one before.

I agree as well...

Joe has to be right.

The colors are all off from what Kirby would do; the bag has no logo whatsoever. So this could not be an original. I am sure Kirby does not do factory rebuilds like that either. The belt lifter would have the Kirby logo on it and so would the bag, even if it were a different color. Also with factory rebuilds, I believe they indicate it on the name plate on the bottom of the machine.

This is an after market Frankenkirby...absolutely.

Belt Lifter

Is a product from one of the bojack companies, probably Hesco. Ditto for the bag.

Frankenkirby

As a former Kirby trainer I have to agree with the rest of the gang, that is what we in the business called "a bastardized rebuild!" My suggestion is save the money, not worth it.

No hose....???

I also notice among other disparities from the "real thing," that there is no hose included among the attachments; at least it's not pictured. Several times on EBAY I have seen sales for Kirbys where the hose included with the "set" is from a model other than the one up for bid. One time I tried to point that out to a seller, but to no avail.
