Hi all. I was wondering if anyone knew a quick fix to give the drive wheels on my G3 more grip on the carpet short of replacing them for now. I had a second machine I was going to pirate the wheels from but had to leave it behind when we moved last month. That machine had other problems but good wheels, this one runs smoothly but the rear wheels have lost most of that rubbery coating so when it goes in reverse they do more spinning than pulling. |

perhaps you can get one of those wide rubber bands, the kinds used to hold broccoli bunches, and stretch it over the wheel as a new tread? or stretch a flat vacuum belt over the wheel in the same way. |

I have a similar wheel grip problem, but for a much older machine: my Model 900's rear two 'tyres' are absent, and the front two are quite warped, hardened and perished. It means I can't use the machine, because without the tyres, the wheels aren't big enough to lift the chassis from the floor properly. Does anyone have any tips on what I could replace them with?? |

Best bet--may not be liked-replace the wheels. The tread on them is not replaceable. |

Will replace them eventually when I find another junked/cheap one to pirate from.. I was wondering if something like a thin coat of rubber cement might help, or some other product anyone can think of. I suppose I could just try the rubber cement lol |

Thanks Charlie, if you could that would be great, lemme know. And here I was thinking you were going to suggest spraying the wheels with Adorn. LOL |

Whoops!
Aquanetta is one of my co-workers! The hairspray was just play AquaNet. My mother must have owned stock in the company the way she would spray and plaster her head on a regular basis.
