I am having a minor surgical procedure and Terry came in to help nurse me back to health. I can't tell if he came to help me or came in to play with the dishwashers, washers and vacuums. Greg Nunn was here this weekend and performed a minor repair on my KD-5 top-loading KitchenAid portable dishwasher which worked like a charm. Here she is getting ready to wash our dinner dishes. Terry is running the water til hot. This makes dishwasher number four on the first floor!

She's a Beauty...

Fred,

Congrats on the "new" KitchenAid. It looks like it's in mint condition.

I'm sure your surgery will go smoothly. You're in my thoughts and prayers. And, you couldn't find anyone better to nurse you back to your usual vivacious self.

Mike

Fred.....

You are in my thoughts. I talked to Terry just before he left for Chicago, and he said, "Fred who?, "it's a chance to play with some neat appliances" Speedy recovery Fred!

Also ducks and runs, only to find Morgan in my hiding place!

St Charles is this way......

Feel better real soon! If Terry is too preoccupied with the dishwashers, I have an army of nurses making their way to Chicago right this minute! Take care Fred!

Nurse Ratchet reporting!!! Just wanted to let all of you know that we are home from the hospital and that Fred is doing just great!!! Well he's tied to the bed right now screaming for help but at least his voice is strong!! I have a big pot of gruel boiling away on the stove so he will be well fed!!! (Really homemade chicken noodle soup). Fred got a new Al-Clad slow cooker yesterday and of course we couldn't wait to try it out!!! Not to worry, I will be taking excellent care of him!!

Rick and Morgan, you had better run!!!

Terry

Fred,

It is a three hour drive...but I could resque you from Miss Ratchet at any time...is there a reason the phone went dead when I called.....did I hear you scream in the background......

Terry, you know we love you.... Fred could not be in better hands...if everyone was as kind and loving as you this world would be a whole lot better place...Fred the same goes for you. This club Thanks you on a daily basis for keeping this web site up and running so smoothly. You rest, follow Terry's orders...let him wait on you...get well soon!

I am jealous... Terry is cooking for you...and anyone that knows Terry...knows just how wonderful a cook he is.

Morgan

That looks great Fred as does that KitchenAid top loader. I'd put that KA at the top of my list of "best looking" model in vintage dishwashers. It was probably pretty pricey when it was new too. I bought a brand new KA portable in 75 and remember it costing me a small fortune even on sale but I had to have it, everything about them had that solid bank vault feel as compared to the Kenmores etc.

Do you happen to know where the All-Clad Slow Cooker is made? I know that the cookware is made around my area in Canonsburg, PA was wondering if the All-Clad electronics were the same.

China.

...and where were those implants made?

That does look like a nice slow-cooker. The soup sounds wonderful, I'll bet Terry outdid himself! Perhaps you'll feel well enough by Friday to go back to Williams-Sonoma to get the pepper mill - it's worth every penny ;-)

Thanks again for a great weekend - it was a blast. Get some rest and remember, no under-wires for a month. Let those scars heal ;-)
