I know this is a couple of days early, but I want to wish everyone the very best for this Thanksgiving Holiday.

Words can not express how much I have to be thankful for this year. So many exciting things have happened for our club this past year. Membership has grown, the forum is active and very alive with all sorts of vacuum and other great information. This years convention will go down in our clubs history as one of the largest and most memorable on record. Meeting the Hoover family....reuniting with great friends from across the globe, how could it get any better!

It is all truly a blessing!

But most importantly is the opportunity to get to know so many wonderful people and actually feel like I am a part of a very large family.

I just want to take this time to say Thank You for making the VCCC such a special place to share our hobby. Everyone have a SAFE and HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Eat all the Turkey and trimmings you want...share pictures with us and enjoy!

Morgan

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving. I have a lot to be thankful this year. Even though I haven't met any of you personally, I feel like I have an extended family now because of this group and the AW group. I'm having two Thanksgiving dinners one on Thursday at a good friends house and one on Friday with my roommate and his mother at my home.

Good food, good friends, what more could I ask for.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I also want to wish everyone here a Happy Thanksgiving!! And, I have some good news to pass along. You probably remember when I posted about being laid off from my job on Oct. 27, then called back the next day for a job in a different department with a $6.00/hr. pay cut. ell, the good news is that next Monday I will be going back to my regular job and regular wage! I can hardly wait!

"Do as I say, not as I do."

Hooray Jeff!

At our age this is the last thing you want to have happen - to have your job disappeared.

Up here in Canada the politicians are playing the same game with the citizen's emotions instead of doing the right thing. Every week they tell us what they are going to do and promising what they will not do...and then turn around the next week and do the exact opposite. Even now politicians at all levels are voting themselves salary increases as fast as they can, because they can, while citizens sit at home dumbstruck as the nightly news unfolds. The wretched excess lifestyle has become so ingrained that at this early juncture of the unstoppable cataclysm unfolding they still truly believe that sacrifices are only necessary at the bottom and it will trickle up. I am infuriated at this selfish greed just like every other decent citizen.

After our latest Federal Election our Prime Minister quietly created and hired on 5 more pricey positions in his cabinet. At our own Stratford City Hall recently, Council passed 6% raises for the top administrators while gratingly offering 3% to city workers and office staff. These are salaries in the $150-235,000 range! In a rural town of 30,000!

Witnessing these examples is it any wonder that the less aware are swamping malls & stores grabbing up everything they can as though there is no tomorrow? That seems to be the message still being sent across the land - get it now before it's all gone. We'll worry about paying for it 'later'. Um, the later has already happened.

Pray my friends, that Obama will lead the way in two months, rescind, roll back and freeze wages across the upper strata of Society, aggressively withdraw and redirect the bailout $ to those in true need and that Canada, Europe and the whole world 'round will follow suit.

This year I am grateful I have my wits about me, credit cards paid down to 0 and the auto loan paid off. I'll have my American Thanksgiving Dinner at the Zellers lunch counter on my Seniors Discount on Thursday - ya only have to be 55 to get the discount. :-)

I'm squeezing & saving every penny and I'm grateful for the plunging gas prices but praying the Can$ can climb its way back to par. Today my $ is worth 81 cents US and I really want to go roadtripping across Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York before Christams. arghhhh...

Happy Thanksgiving.........

I hope all my friends and family have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

This is that time of year when I think about what I am grateful for more than any other time.

I am grateful for my "vacuum family" and my blood family, which now only consists of my twin, younger sister, an aunt and several cousins. I am grateful for good health, being employed and having a loving spouse of nearly 20 years and my two wonderful, "kids", the Bengals.

How much better does it get?

My blessings go out to all of you and thanks for making this club and our web site a special place.

Here is a pic of our boys. Moses, the white Bengal joined us in Oct., after Sam, our 7 month old Siamese died of FIP in August. Max is our brown spot Bengal.

Beautiful Cats, Charlie!

And looks like they get along with each other as well. I'm counting my blessings as well, and especially thankful to be going back to my regular department and wage on Monday. And as you said,I'm thankful for family, friends, health, employment, and our club and website, and all those who help make it a great place to be.
And Dave, hopefully when you're going through Ohio on one of your roadtrips you can include Galion as one of your stops. It would be a pleasure to meet and visit with you.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone,
Jeff

Yes indeed,

Happy Thanksgiving to all. I'm ever so grateful that I found this group. I have met so many wonderful people. In the past couple years, for the first time since - really - high school, I can say that I have friends! And GREAT ones! Just before I leave for work everyday, I have to check my Email. There's almost always something there from one of you. And just before I retire each night, same thing. Then there's this website. What can I say? BTW, today I was congratulated for being the first to see the Apex POD! Only took me 87 clicks. So, I am thankful my clicker finger still works.

Everyone have a GREAT day today.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hope everyone has a happy, healthy, safe Thanksgiving! Just finished my shift at the airport, amazing how many people travel on the actual holiday! On my way to a friend's house for a grand turkey dinner, as they were kind enough to hold it for me so I could attend. I'm thankful for so much I'd be late for dinner if I list it all. Take care everyone and enjoy the day!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! :)

Just an ordinary Thursday here, in fact, an unusually disappointing Thursday for me; I was supposed to be going out this evening, and it was all cancelled at the last minute. Oh well. Hope you're all having a better day than me!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.

As liek every one else I have a lot to be thankful for: having a good and steady job especially in these uncertain times(I'm glad I am in healthcare), my family, and everyone here at Vacuumland. And I am most thankful for my best friend.
