Hey every one, I was wondering when the concept started. Was the first a pwr drive? Also when did the concept two start?
If anyone has pictures of the first I would love to see them.
Thanks. Phillip

Hoover concept

The first concept was introduced in 1978 and yes I think it had a powerdrive....the concept two was introduced in 1983. Here is a picture of the concept and concept two....along with a Hoover celebrity.

Concept One

There were 4 Concept One models intro'ed in '78, two power drive and two standard.
The pic above is from the Hoover Historical center, the blue model is a U3101 TOL model from the '78 line.
That particular model in the HHC used to be in my collection, now it lives there. My signature is inside the bag.

My mom had one that looked like the blue one, but it did not have the fleur de lis decoration on the front case. I think it was a display model, it had scuffed stickers on its base, but it was a wonderful vacuum.

Thank you guys for the pictures. I have the blue one, did not know it was one of the first. I also have that same orange one.
When did the green one come out? I have a beautiful green pwr drive.
