Merry Christmas!

The Board of the VCCC would like to take this time to wish all who read this forum and who are members of the Vacuum Cleaner Collectors Club along with our friends from the Automatic Washer Club the best Christmas Ever!!

It is this time of year that we realize how important friendships are and how much family means to each and everyone of us. For some, our extended families have become a major part of our lives and we celebrate that as well.

For me, I want to take this time to specially THANK all of the members of your board, Charlie W., Fred N., Terry L., Rick B., Dave O., Marc T., RJ V., Roger L., and Ken W. With out these fine men, the efforts they put forth, this forum would not be possible and the day to day business of the club would not be possible. We have a new addition as well, Fred Stachnik has generously offered to help Fred Nelson with the newsletter. Thank You Fred S., I am sure that is a great Christmas present for Fred N. The newsletter is a lot of work and Fred is now wearing two hats, webmaster and newsletter editor, so I am sure the added help will be greatly appreciated.

To all of you who read this forum, members of the club, and friends from Automatic Washer may you celebrate the Holidays in good health, with family, and friends. 2008 will be the best year yet for the VCCC and your convention planning committee (Tom and Heather A., Jeff P, Pat F. Bobby D. Terry L. and Morgan F.) have the Hotel booked and are currently working on the details for the agenda....I am sure you will all be pleasantly surprised.

Merry Chirstmas to All and the Best for 2008!!!!

Morgan T. Frazer, President & the Entire Board of the VCCC

"Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah,"

---

Well, if we are going to extend "inclusive holiday greetings" to one another, what about "Blessed Kwanzaa," "Merry Winter Solstice," "Happy Bodhi Day," "Merry Dong zhi," "Happy Navratri," "Glorious Diwali," "Happy Bhaubeej," "Blessed Eid ul-Adha," "Holy Sadeh," "Happy Yalda," "Merry Chahar Shanbeh Suri," "Happy Matariki," "Merry Saturnalia," "Blessed HumanLight," "Happy Boxing Day," "Happy Hogmanay," "Merry Burns Night," "Blessed Karachun," and "Merry Rohatsu."

These are all holidays (most of them religious) that fall during the winter months. So if we are going to be "P.C.," should we not go all the way with it?

To me, ANYTHING is preferable to the bland and insipid and meaningless "Happy Holidays!"

A blessed and peaceful Christmas

We're having a little Christmas dinner here at Hooverland tonight. Since Michael and I will be spending Christmas with our respective families I am cooking the big dinner tonight. Fred Nelson and our friend Brian will be joining us for dinner.
On the menu:
Roast Prime rib of beef
Pommes Dauphinois(Julia Child's fancy name for scalloped potatoes)
Fresh steamed green beans
tossed green salad
Yorkshire pudding
Here is my table all set:

My Goodness Jeff!

I didn't realize it was going to be so fancy. I am running upstairs right now to plug in the electric rollers! Merry Christmas everyone. May you all gain on your dreams in the coming year and have happiness and prosperity!

Fred

Merry whatever and happy whatever to all!

As some of you know, we lost our wonderful Siamese cat, Fred, the day after Thanksgiving. We wanted to remember him in a special way this year at Christmas. He would always, "patrol", the yard at the border of the grass and pine straw.

Well, I thought it would be nice to line our fence with green lights along the border that Fred patrolled as a way to remember him. It is wonderful to go out there at night and see those pretty green lights in a backyard instead of a front yard and to remember our loving Fred and how much joy he brought us.

Here are a few shots of, "Fred's Memory Walk", looking southbound.

Season's Greetings to all best wishes for a wonderful new year.

Charlie
