We have just been hit by another Winter Storm here in Iowa.

I have never seen the Wal-Mart here so slow. I think they may have a dozen or so people in the store, we have not had anyone in the last hour.

I love snow, but we were first hit with about 2 inches of ice...

Everyone be safe if you in this storm path.

Winter Storm

Hi all, esp Morgan & Jeff:

I was wondering if this were the appropriate time for an Orange County weather update: Bright, sunny, blue skies, but a bit breezy. I may have to wear a long-sleeved T-shirt as I head out to wash my car. Saturday's rain left it spotted and we really can't have that. Damn winter.

At least you CAN wash your car!!! Here in Atlanta, we are in a drought situation and cannot do any outdoor watering whatsoever. Being one that is very particular about my vehicles, it is frustrating. But then, we do have the self serve car washes that use recycled water. We don't have one close by, and naturally, we do what we have to do. NEVER an automatic car wash!! Our weather has been unseasonably BEAUTIFUL!!! High of 78 today and forecasted in the 70's until Friday. Downhill trend after that where 48 is supposed to be the high.

Jeff, you & Michael are going to have to pay a visit to Atlanta to get over the winter blues. I HATE the cold and 7 years in Denver was just about enough. I am A Studio City, CA boy at heart and anything below 59 is cold to me.

Robb :-)

I truly do love the snow and the cold... it is the ice we can do without. There was a house fire this evening caused by the wires pulling away from the house due to the weight of the ice.

I am flying into San Diego for Christmas. Mark just got a new job, so the trip is very short, Sunday and back on Christmas Day... it won't seem right if it is 80 on Christmas..

How are things up there at the present time? How much of Oklahoma is down?

Oklahoma City

I have been without power since 9:30 pm Sunday evening and it probably won't be on until later this week or possibly this weekend. Where is a Scott and Fetzer non-electric vacuette when you need one? I haven't slept in three days. I AM READY TO MOVE! It's 8:28am in OKC right now and it's started to sleet and rain AGAIN! I am at work today, barely able to keep my eyes open. My neighborhood looks like a tornado has come through. It's one of the older historically preserved additions and it just looks horrible. All of the beautiful, large sweeping trees have all just been destroyed. I was just able to get my car out of the garage today.

I am glad you are all right, but my total sympathy for your neighborhood, and all of the others. I hope it will calm down for you all. Thanks for letting us know.

In one piece...

All is well, just got word that we have been allowed the use of a hotel room at the Hilton for up to a week, room is booked and I'm ready to GO! I sure do miss running my vacuums though! My Classic Omega is on stand by! People have been bringing their pets to work, maybe I should bring my Kirby's and Madonna and Kylie collections up here!

Been there....

Hey Cory, I know exactly what you're going through as we had two major power outages here last year, one in the summer, one in the winter, both were awful and we too lost beautiful grand old trees. Chin up, it will get better! Luckily a neighbor purchased a generator and after a couple of days, was able to plug into it and at least have space heaters, t.v., and yes, even ran a low amp. Kirby through the house! So far, we have missed the bullet here in St. Louis, although we're supposed to get some snow tonight.
