I think that after he found that beautiful GE Roll Easy last weekend he knew that he was "hooked". Robert also has a beautiful Electrolux Aqua G in his collection and has always loved Electrolux. Robert I have a feeling that your collection will be growing very soon!!! I know that all of you will want to extend a very warm welcome to him. Terry

Yay! Indeed!

Welcome to the club, Robert!

I think he got bit by the 'vacuum bug' back in January--when he came down to Milwaukee for "Helen and Ida's Birthday Celebration."

You can see the glimmer in his eye!

Welcome aboard Robert....

I knew once you were bitten by the vacuum bug... it would be a matter of time before you officially joined this family....however, you were family before.

Morgan

Robert. Welcome...

Actually, I thought you were already a member. As Morgan wrote, you were already family; now it's just official. Welcome.

You sure have slimmed down since I saw you in September. You'll have to tell me your secret. :)

Ouch! Was that a slap I felt?!

RFLMAO...

Fun with Photoshop. That is too funny.

Post# 26389-12/9/2007-00:17 ||| charles~richard (Los Angeles, California)

Here is his "real" office -- there was a thread on automaticwasher.org a couple weeks ago with people posting photos of their offices, and I had a little fun with a couple of the photos. Saaaaaaaaay... I think we should have such a thread here. Stay tuned.......

Welcome Robert!!

Glad to have you with us. Of course, you've been with us for quite a while, but now it's official! And in case you haven't already been warned, watch out--those vacuums multiply!!
And by the way, THANK YOU for all the work you've done to help make our website the great place it is'
Jeff

Eye Spy...

Robert, I spy an I Dream of Jeannie bottle. Where did you find that?!

And, let me echo Jeff's sentiments. We all owe you a huge thank you for the work you have done to help make this a great Website.

Robert ????

I thought we were going to be more selective as to who we let into the club! LOL, seriously Robert. Welcome!!!!!

Post# 26483-12/9/2007-16:17 ||| hamiltonbeachbo (Milwaukee, WI)

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome ....

Robert,

As Ms. Tania would say, "Welcome to Vacuumland", (your very own creation.) As others have said, I already thought you were in the family, (kind of an honorary member). I guess your official membership makes you a true blood relative. So glad to have you over on this side as well. And as you know, both universes are only a click away.

Vacuums are wonderful as well. A high potential for drama, a great deal of diversity and a long, colorful history. And there's a ton of room for functional creativity. What more could a true appliance enthusiast want, right??

Well, very glad to have you on board. Look forward to much bantering and sharing. And as others have said, your collection will magically grow before your eyes. So, will your washers and dryers become partners with "these other cleaning appliances?" Should be an interesting new relationship. What Fun!!!

BTW, snow continues to hit Milwaukee. Me and my Troy Bilt snowblower (w/an 8.5 hp Tecumseh Snow King) are having a grand time on my big circle and straight. However, come February, I'll be ready for a break. Then, I'll see you at Terry's!!!

Talk with you soon!!

Pat

Just a little joke! (very little).

Alan, I find your humor....

Very uplifting. Often times, when I read what you've written, I can almost "hear" you. Good job!!
Rick

Where are Roberts Leggies?

Don't EVEN.....

Post# 26593-12/10/2007-06:02 ||| arh1953 (south florida)

Thanks, Rick. It comes so easily here. I can think it through, and edit. Most of the people here have great senses of humor.

Post# 26781-12/11/2007-20:53 ||| Unimatic1140 (Minneapolis)

Well thanks everyone for you the warm welcome, even though I've felt like a family member around here for a long time, it feels great to be official. Great picture Fred, boy I had a great time last January coming to your house in Milwaukee and seeing your collection, the colors are simply amazing.

Robert, I spy an I Dream of Jeannie bottle. Where did you find that?!
Mike I found that bottle laying on the beach on a deserted island in the south pacific when my space capsule malfunctioned.

Pat I adore using my Sears Craftsman snow blower myself, its my favorite outdoor appliance. But it will be so good to see you in February as well!

Hi Justin, yes that's my 1951 Zenith Combo, here is a picture of it in my old house... and click this link to see some pictures from the recap process during my restoration of it: TV restoration pictures

and you can see the TV, radio and cobra-matic record player operating in the first 20 seconds of this Washer music video I made last year:

Welcome to the group. BUT......

Welcome to the club. I take it that most of the other members know you from your work on this site. You do a good excellent job. As a rather new member myself, I'm impressed with it. However... Whoever posted the "fat suit" picture, I really didn't care for that. I'm sure that nothing was meant by it. But as a big guy myself i found it offensive. I just don't find that sort of humor funny. There is enough discrimination out there. That we don't need to have it here.

Post# 27383-12/17/2007-14:46 ||| electroluxxxx (Greene, NY)

Nice tv set I love it man do I wish I had one of those

Hi Paul, I totally understand, even though I didn't post it, please accept my appology. It was not meant to be offensive, you can be sure of that, but I can understand how you might feel and see your point. So I took the liberty of deleting the picture myself, I hope Fred N. our webmaster doesn't mind, one less thing for him to do. No need to for bad feelings here or at aw, we're all here to have fun.

I love that tv. I have a couple zenith console radios with the cobra record player but none with the tv's. I am in love. LOL

"Fat Suit"

Hi Paul,

I posted the picture of Robert in the overalls. And, I'm sorry if I offended you. Please accept my apology. My post was certainly not intended to be malicious in any way.

And, thank you Robert for interceding on my behalf and removing the photo.

Mike
