That looks great Pete! You have your very own small appliance museum.

Mixers

You know (I am not at my building so I can't look at the artifacts at the moment) those old mixers that allow you to slide the mixer out of the stand? And use it like a heavy hand mixer? Well, is there a name for that ability - you know, do they call them convertibles or something?

NO special name that I know of..Prety much all of the brands allow for that with a locking catch on the pivot point like the Sunbeams. The GE stand mixers do slide off from the stand. This room is the "stock room" I still need to get the "showroom" completed

I found this Waring blendor today at Value Village for $6 and the best thing is it's gold colored. Behind it are some of my Sunbeam automatic radiant toasters, always a crowd pleaser they are LOL

More Waring blendors, I don't know I just like em.
No it's not a mistype,, Warings calls their machines blendor not blender.
The green one on the left end was the one we had at home growing up Mom bought it around 1967 or 1968. Wonderful machine, so much better than todays junk. The one to the right of it is the fancier chrome model with 14 speeds. The one to the right of that, 3rd from left, is the 14 speed next edition out.. not as nice I thought. and the one on the end is a commercial bar blendor

Here I have a lineup of Oster beehive blenders, a little Proctor Silex blendette and a low slung GE .
Below that is the infamous Ronson Cook'n Stir so named because it does cook and it does stir. Followed by a green Hoover and 3 Sunbeam Mixmasters, the green one was only ever sold in Canada not the USA until the next model came out and they got a green avocado one. People have offered me fortunes for it.. LOL

on the top right is a Rival Ice-O-Matic,, just for the name alone it's worth it.
Below that on the left 4 Osters, 1 Lady Kenmore, 1 Sunbeam, and a Hamilton Beach bar blender.
Bottom shelf; An oster, a Braun KM32 mixer a Waring bar blendor and a waring blendor

Nice Small Appliance Collection, Pete!

And I know what you mean about Waring calling theirs a blendor--been that way ever since Fred Waring (yes, the band leader!) designed it. Besides his musical career he also had a degree in engineering, and his Waring blendor was the first one on the market.

Lookin' good, Pete.

Since I know this is the furnace workbench room, now you'll be inspired to do up the other two carpeted basement rooms and get those uprights marching smartly around the baseboards. :{)

Middle shelf, far right of picture

The Waring Blendor in post #25934 in chrome is identical to one I bought in a thrift store about 30 years ago. I don't believe it was very old at the time.

Wow Pete, now all your goodies must have taken some packing and unpacking for the move, looks grand, you need a nice cup of coffee & a cookie after all that effort!!

I spy a Braun table mixer, do you use it?? and how do you find it in relation to say a KA??
