Ok people it got me thinking when I was thinking about insurance.
If I was to drop down Dead what would happen to my poor Kirby's!?!?
Don't want some one to think just a pile of old vacuums and put them in the trash.
I will properly have to bequeath them to some one to carry on my work. Not sure who yet?
Can you imagine it in your will when its being read out.
congratulations!!! you have won 45+ kirby's and the job of carrying the collection on?!
Any one have any plans set out for there machines???

My Dogs say Hi!!!
I look a bit of a mess!!!

Orphans

This matter has been discussed in the past, both informally among some members, and also as a topic at at least one of the conventions.

Generally speaking, most of us are in the same boat inasmuch as most of us have relatives, spouses, significant others etc. who could not care less about our collection and who would probably just dispose of them when we have "passed on to glory." In some cases, this has been stated as a clear intention. How many of you have heard, "When you die, all these vacuums are going to the dump!

So if you really are concerned about this, you should make clear, unambiguous and non-contestible provisions in your will as to whom you want to inherit your collection. If you don't have anyone in particular in mind, you might consider donating your collection to the Club, in care of the current president, for him/her to then dispose of as s/he sees fit. This would be far better than the machines going to Goodwill or - worse - to the dumpster.

Me

I will make sure I will get married and at least have one kid and make him interested into vacuums and make him get married and have a kid so my precious collection will be safe!

Here After

I have given a special directive to the executor of my estate on how to handle my collection. I told her that if she puts them in an estate sale, or garage sale, I will come back and haunt her!

My Collection

Belongs to both my son and I, so when I go, it will all be his, as well as the Lawn-Boy mowers out in the garage.

Thanks Mr Lester!

I will keep that in mind.
Here's a idea for the future probably not practical but Hay!

The club has its own vacuums that don't belong to anyone just the club as a whole so every has access to a particular model vacuum and we all know they will be well looked after.
As we all drop off those of use who have no one to carry the collections on can add them to the clubs collection.

Hope that makes sense.

Wonder how much it will cost to ship all my kirby collection back to the US?

Thanks again.

I am too young to think about death! Plus, my brother will probably take them and give them a good home. He better not sell them!
