Me and David Watters (Sukething) are planning a mini meet here in Denver sometime in April or March depending on how soon we can get everything ready, and how our schedules work out. This will be open to anyone who wants to come, including people from automaticwasher.org. |

Ditto Clay
I too remember why we moved. However, if it weren't for the winters, we would have stayed. I recall the last year we lived in Littleton, I was outside in shorts doing the yard and in 2 hours the temperature dropped 40 degrees and it started to snow. On a good point, it is almost impossible to get lost in Denver because the streets are on a grid and so unlike Atlanta, the names of the streets are the same from one end of the city to the other. I had to get my car equipped with GPS because it is rediculous here. Streets change name AND direction. Also, Denver has some good vac shopping. I always could count on picking up something whenever I went searching, especially on the north side of town. I have yet to find anything worthwhile in the Atlanta thrift stores. Just junk.

We did just get a huge load of snow here, over 2ft in some areas, including out house. So we have been stuck in our house the last few days and I'm getting tired of it. I hope I can get out soon. |

Unable to get to outhouse?
Reggie - So, as I read your post, you were stuck in your house, unable to get to the outhouse. That would be uncomfortable. (smile). You will have a lot to shovel! |

To ward off heavy snowfalls you need a talisman. Mines a 10.5 hp Mastercraft snowblower. We bought it about 10 years ago fearing we'd be snowed in living out in the country and I don't think the thing got more than 40 minutes use..LOL.. I have it facing outwards in the garage now and guess what, we haven't had any snow yet here either. So it does work |
